Overview
The Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is the cornerstone of LEO Industrial Services' safety culture. California law (CCR Title 8, Section 3203) and OSHA require all employers to maintain an effective IIPP. At LEO, safety is not optional — it is a condition of employment.
Your Responsibilities
Every LEO employee is responsible for: following all safe work practices, reporting hazards immediately to your supervisor, participating in safety training, and using required PPE at all times. Management is responsible for providing safe conditions, training, and enforcement of safety rules.
Hazard Identification
Before starting any task, perform a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Walk the work area, identify potential hazards (slips, trips, falls, electrical, chemical, etc.), and implement controls. Use the hierarchy: Eliminate → Substitute → Engineering Controls → Administrative Controls → PPE.
Incident Reporting
ALL incidents — injuries, near-misses, and property damage — must be reported to your supervisor immediately. Do not delay reporting. Complete a LEO Incident Report Form within 24 hours. Near-miss reporting is encouraged and never punished — it prevents future injuries.
